All Atwater PAL programs and events are free to children and families
in Atwater and throughout Merced County

BMX FREE RIDE NIGHTS - Veteran's Park - Starting April 5th - 5:30pm-7:30pm
Atwater PAL free BMX ride nights start April 15, 2013. The times are from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Ages are 6 years old to 17 years old. The location is Veteran’s Park. The free nights are then the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month through October. We have a new track operator and a remodeled track. Bikes and helmets are available to use at no charge. Sign up at the track April 15th.

JUNIOR GIANTS
Atwater Jr. Giants summer program start their online registration April 1st. This is open to boys and girls ages 5-17.

This is a non-competitive league which includes educational and violent prevention components.

POLICE CADETS
This is a year round program. Cadets meet at the Merced County Animal Shelter classroom every Monday from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. This is open to youth (Girls and Boys) 12-18 years old. Uniforms are provided.

ATWATER TEEN ADVISORY COUNCIL

This is also a year round program. Meetings are held at the Atwater Community Center. ATAC meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. This is open to youth 12-17 years old (Girls and Boys). ATAC shirts are provided.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

This program runs during the school year. The program is located at the Castle Youth Center in Veteran’s Park.
The hours are 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm and open to youth from kindergarten to sixth grade. Students that attended Elmer Wood and Thomas Olaeta sign up at their school. Others may sign up at the center.


BOXING

Atwater PAL is partnered with the Merced County SAL to bring you this program. Boys and Girls 8 years old to 18 years old. Hours are 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Location is at 2100 Academy Drive located by the Head Start Program on the old base. Duration of the program is year round. A physical examination must be completed before youth can start the program. There are three levels; novice, intermediate and tournament.
Each session is one hour long. There are 2 sessions each day:
4 pm - 4 pm & 5:15 pm - 7:30 pm
